The Taylor Big Foot Baler is an upright unit that operates off the hydraulics of your tractor and can be towed by its trailer hitch from one location to another. Optional is a gasoline, electric or PTO powered hydraulic system and a set of digital read out scales. The plunger cylinders raise vertically to allow you to get around the entire baler and evenly distribute in the chamber for proper bale density. This allows the wires to stay tight and not fall off after being moved several times with squeeze clamps. To begin filling the baler, you raise the plunger and put the tobacco into the chamber with a slip sheet standing up on the side of the chamber. Fill the chamber, pressing two or three times with the plunger to compact the bale. Packing each time until the desired amount is in the bale. Then open the baler door with plunger still down. Feed the five wires in through the opposite side of the door by using the wire guides. The wires are then ready to be hooked around the bale of tobacco. Once the wires have been hooked, you then raise the plunger and activate the small cylinder located on the right hand side of the door to kick the finished bale out of the chamber. Roll the bale a 1/4 turn and set it up with the slip sheet on the bottom of bale.
